The origin of Balzaín goes back to the earlier XVII century. This old farmhouse was restored in 9 houses, through a restoration that has retained its original structure, with stone walls and roofs of wood and cane, while maintaining all the flavor and authenticity of its rustic past.

The names of the houses evoke their ancient customs and rural life reminds us of our ancestors: the stable, the cowshed, the strawloft, the granary, the courtyard... 

The cottages are located in a beautiful countryside, near to a water spring surrounded by rocks, walkpaths and poplar groves, with rustic and authentic atmosphere of an Andalusian Cortijo.

Inside them you will find a simple decoration, but with all the comfort you demand today.

In its facilities you will enjoy their Country Restaurant with WIFI area, a water salted pool, a small farm, a children's and sports area and a museum of plows, threshing and tillage tools.
 





Fire Prevention Plan of Sierra Nevada National Park

This plan forbids fires in high-risky areas close to trees.

Balzaín houses are very old structure and all their wooden cealings are very high combustion powered, therefore, lighting fireplaces represents a high risk for all guests, and in fire case its possible extension to the National Park.
